Bedard Chi-Town Collaboration

Introducing the Bedard Chi-Town limited-edition collection, an epic crossover between hockey and baseball. This multi-brand collaboration between Sherwood, Avirex, and Marucci highlights the city of Chicago and Connor Bedard in an impactful way.

Sherwood's Rekker Legend product line embodies the story of an athlete's trajectory to greatness. Each story has its own unique path and individualized journey that allows athletes to carve their way and build their own stories and legacy.  This story translates into the product. A few examples include the build of the Rekker line (i.e. an anatomical fit) and design elements like a topographic map +  coordinates of Sherwood's roots. Connor uses the Rekker Legend Pro hockey stick and gloves today.  

With the Rekker Legend story at the core, it has since evolved in this multi-brand collaboration to highlight Chicago and Connor for the Bedard Chi-Town limited-edition collection for the big game in the following ways:

Chicago: Integration of  the city's sport team colours throughout all products, silver chrome iridescent as an ode to the bean, the topographic map of the city, elements of the Chicago flag and other easter eggs.
Connor: Personal touches from Connor are evident across the collection, such as his signature on the namebar of the hockey stick and baseball, or initials and name on the Avirex jacket.
Brand Heritage: Retro brand elements across the four brands were incorporated into the design, such as Sherwood's five bar and inspiration from their Rekker Legend Pro hockey stick, used by Connor Bedard.
Baseball: With the big game taking place at the end of December in Chicago, there are various baseball specific products (e.g. fielding glove, baseball, mesh top) incorporated in the collection, as well as various brand elements.
